Lily

3-17-97 - City Of Hemet Animal Control Officer called and left a message. He wants me to call him back because he wants to, "set up an appointment with me to talk about the incident with the doberman." I called him back and left a message to please return my call.
- Tried to reach Mr. Smith, but was not able to.
- I've been forwarding email that Ronna and I have received in response to Lily's situation to The Hemet News and The Press-Enterprise.
- We must finally be getting someone's attention at The Hemet News judging by these emails:

I am in shock - I cannot believe that these folks are so damn ignorant - I sent the Hemet newpaper an email about Lily - and this is the response I just received:

Jim,
Thanks for your letter but we are really not interested. We have received about 40 letters about this matter that apear to be forwarded from you or your address. Please stop sending these letters to us. Thank You WOW - I sent only one - yes ONE - and they think I sent over 40 - can you say BOZO?? - it's not even signed!!
Well, there's the press for ya!!

Well, that is interesting - First of all I sent you ONE letter - and to have you assume that I am behind this effort is rediculous - secondly - if you are uninterested, that is your business - but accusing me of sending over 40 letters without proof is plain silly - my own personal opinion of your paper is that it is of poor quality in its research on who sends it mail - I feel sorry for your readers - If you need to contact anyone concerning this effort - read the original email I sent to you - it contains the contact - IN YOUR TOWN - of the person who is behind this effort - thank you very little and I do not suppose I will hear from you again as it is my opinion that your mind(s) are very closed on this issue - which is in my opinion a very poor thing in a newspaper.

- Empathy, you think? Why are they shouting? Perhaps they don't realize that typing in all caps is considered shouting. Maybe if I keep bothering them, they'll do a story on the persistent email forwarder. That's one way to get Lily's story out. I wouldn't be surprised if they send the police after me!
